A Success at State for the Seals
By Melanie Crowson
For the Deer Park Seals Swim Team, the end of another summer
season is always signaled by the home-coming from the T.A.A.F.
Games of Texas swim meet, or "State."
The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation or T.A.A.F. holds an annual
summer league championship series in a variety of sports. Our
swimmers had to finish in the top 3 in their events at the Region
I meet to qualify to compete at the State Games. There were 12
regions represented at the State Games of Texas held in Cedar
Park, Texas July 27 - 29th.
The swimmers who represented Seals not only had fun but also
brought home some hardware (medals & ribbons). These fine
young athletes are Cameron Allsep, Logan Campbell, Dillon Chandler,
Dakota Chandler, Ashley Dungan, Will Fussell, Abby Gardea, Canyon
